The Grand (Charity) Knockout Tournament

The last time that It’s A Knockout was aired on the BBC was a special "Royal" charity version of the program. The idea of Prince Edward, four of the Royal Family captained teams that represented various charities. The show was hosted by Stuart Hall, Les Dawson and Su Pollard, with Paul Daniels as the chief referee. The program was filmed at Alton Towers in Staffordshire.

Although the program was not received well and was criticised for a number of reasons, the event raised over £1 million for the charities represented.
